I'm Back !!!

Well a lot has been going since July. Mostly me getting discouraged and stopping the food logging. I just could not lose any weight. I am back to logging my food as of 4 weeks ago. I re-joined Weight Watchers Online also. I was trying to do it without subscribing but that just wasn't working for me. So far I have been within my points for 2 weeks. But I have not lost any weight. But the main thing is I am not getting discouraged. it is early and I will have patience.

In January I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I was not feeling well at work one day. A co-worker came into my office and I had my head on my desk. I told her I just felt funny. She told the office nurse and she checked my blood pressure. It was 175/120!.I was immediately sent to my family doctor. By this time I had a terrible headache and felt like my eyeballs were going to pop out of my head from the pressure. ?I saw a nurse practitioner because my doctor was unavailable. I just wanted the "usual shot" for my migraine but she refused. She prescribed 2 blood pressure medicines. So for 2 days I laid in the bed with a horrendous headache and high blood pressure. It took that long for my medicines to kick in. Once they started working I felt great. My pressure is back to normal. Since she put me on the medicine I feel so much better. I knew my pressure was running high but I was trying to control it myself because I didn't want to be on medicine. But I am so glad I am now.

I am so excited to be starting again on this journey. I want to clarify something. I don't want to 2beskinny. I want to be healthy and toned and eat better for the rest of my life.. I just didn't know what to name my blog. Ha. Ha.

  1. I have high blood pressure too. :( getting the right prescription really helps. Took working with my doctor 3 month to find the right ones! And now we are starting over again with meds safe for pregnancy when the time comes. Glad you are back at the journey...and I love the last sentences. That's the right attitude!
